We're a couple of dudes from Minneapolis who ride bmx and do it with a dose of party.
Nick Anderson
Turndown – Minneapolis, MN
This shot is actually from a couple years ago when Nick was riding for Eastern and we were trying to get some stuff together for their catalog. We were cruising along the Mississippi River road in downtown Minneapolis and stopped by this sculpture for a quick session. Nick had just learned this trick at the time, and was launching them off whatever was in his path. I think he was making up for lost time. Turndowns are one of those fickle tricks that just don’t seem to come easy. Nick has some ridiculous bike control, but had been so frustrated by the learning process. I remember seeing him at a skatepark a few months prior, sending mock-turnbar-kickouts and getting ready to throw his bike out the window in anger. A few weeks later he had them locked down, and the crusade began.
this is dope. new random with Ben Austin on defgrip just got posted. Photo and discription all from Defgrip.net.
Ben Polaschek, 360 Turndown, Crystal, MN
Ben Polaschek, aka Benny P, has been hard at work filling his back yard with dirt jumps for the past couple years. After years of building trails out in the woods only to see them get plowed again and again, it’s good to finally have a spot that feels permanent. As long as the Minnesota winters don’t take too much of a toll on the dirt, this oasis should be around for a while. I guess that is one of the perks of being a homeowner and having a property with a huge fence. The neighboring apartment dwellers don’t seem to mind the project either, as long as the riders somewhat tolerate their shouting and near-constant requests for backflips. Ben usually just smiles, cracks a few jokes, and flows through the lines with his typical style. Everyone knows that trails take an unbelievable amount of time to maintain, but this was one of the lucky times where there was more riding than digging. I’m crossing my fingers that there are many more of these days coming soon.
The Boss Ben Austin has taken over BMX PLUS Magazine Lately. Here he shot this nice pic of Nick on this gap to wall ride over in N.E. MPLS. Also Tony Malouf doing a no footed can can on this up rail in powder horn park.

Gelle
I had a chance to meet up with Standard’s Phlandus Alexander the other day to roam around in his neighborhood outside of Minneapolis and check out a couple of his spots. Phlandus has been shredding this specific industrial park for so long, I can’t believe it took us this long to get together and get something documented. After messing around at a few other setups, we stopped by this telephone pole set right in the middle of an asphalt bank. Here he shows a little glimpse of how much pop he really has, by tossing a quick barspin out of a pole ride to fakie. We gave it a 3 or 4 tries to get the timing right, and ended up with something we were both happy with as a result.

Something was fucked up last night when I tryed top putt this photo up, but you know Boden was still killin it, so this weeks boden is killing it Ben Austin took a photo when out ridding a while back of boden tell the world to just fuck off !
